What is the web art gallery?

The Web Art Gallery is a project that allows you to obtain websites for artists, with a professional but low cost profile. The structure of the sites was designed for very simple and autonomous management by the user and contains all the sections useful for promoting one's art: biography, CV and exhibitions held, gallery of works possibly divided by category, contact page, interaction with social media.
Web Art Gallery is at the same time a network of websites that are present and reachable not only from their own URL (web address), but also from the website webartgallery.it than from the Art portal Painting & surroundings, one of the first Italian vertical art portals, dedicated to reporting exhibitions and promoting artists.
What is the difference between a personal website and a web art gallery?

If we are talking about a professional site, created by a Web Agency and not a "do-it-yourself" site, there is basically a notable difference in costs.
With equal quality and performance, a site created with Web Art Gallery costs at least 10 times lower than a site built "to measure"! This is possible thanks to the multisite system which allows you to work on an already preset model, easily replicating it and obtaining a complete and professional site in a very short time.

Once the service is activated, will I have to create the site myself?

No, once the service with the chosen name has been activated (third level domain of the type: nomeartista.webartgallery.it), and send us the requested material (basically a biographical text and some images of works), we will make your site complete and publishable. Later, you can modify and integrate content freely on your pages. Thanks to our guides, videos and support that you can find in the section Tutorial, we will enable you to manage your site in complete autonomy and with extreme ease right away!
Do I need any special knowledge to manage the site? It's complicated?

Managing the site is very simple and we will provide you with all the instructions to be able to interact with your pages in complete autonomy. You can find all the documentation on the section Tutorial of this site, however we always remain available in case of need if something is not clear or occasionally, in the case of direct intervention on our part.
What format will my site's domain name have?

The web address (the URL) that will allow you to reach your site will be a Third Level domain name of the type nomecognome.webartgallery.it (without www) or in any case a fictional name preceded by the domain webartgallery.it The same site will be reachable from the address www.webartgallery.it/nomecognome
I already have my own domain, can I point it to the Web Art Gallery?
In addition to the activation of the site, can I record my domain?

The domain is not included in the service we offer, but it is still possible to activate it and has separate costs (they involve annual renewal) which may vary depending on the extension chosen and the availability of the chosen domain. Are there any limits to the insertion of works or categories?
Can I add more pages to my site?

We normally provide the Web Art Gallery with the following sections: Biography, Exhibitions, Gallery, Info and Contacts. However, someone exceptionally asked us for a section to insert other contents such as poetry texts. If it is an extra page, there are no major problems and we can prepare it, but if the intention is to overturn the original planned structure, we recommend considering the idea of creating a more personalized site. The project was born with a well-defined graphic structure which to some extent aims to maintain the identity of belonging to our network. How can I promote an exhibition or an art event I participate in?

In addition to being able to highlight a banner on your site that allows you to promote your event, you can report it independently on Speed News of Painting & Surroundings through reserved access that we provide to all artists registered with the Web Art Gallery.
We will also disseminate the press release through our social channels.
Is an interaction with social networks?
How can I manage translations?

In addition to Italian, the English language is also expected. The translation is automatic when you click on the English flag, however it is possible to modify and correct the translations very simply and immediately once you log in to the site management panel. The methods are indicated in the section Tutorial of this site.
How can I send the material to activate my Web Art Gallery?
What type of assistance do you provide in case of need? Are there any costs to bear?

Assistance in case of need is absolutely expected and there are no other costs to bear other than the annual fee which includes ordinary maintenance of the site (continuous monitoring, updating of the platform, template and plugins). If you prefer to entrust us with any sporadic changes or additions to the site (replacement or addition of text, change of cover images, integration of works in the gallery), we will do it for you.
